​FUNDING DEPARTMENT

North Bengal Development Department , Tourism Department , Forest Department , Govt. of West Bengal have provided financial assistance for the development of the Wild Animals Park . Total project period 5 years. First Phase Completed  March 2019.Out of total 46.82 cr the project completed at 33.91 cr. In the First Phase North Bengal Developement Department provides 27.71 cr & expenditure 20.34 cr( works include Boundary Fencing, Herbivore Fencing,Bear enclosure,Leopard enclosure, Lesser cats and Aviary trail) ,Forest Dept provides 9.11 cr, expenditure7.23 cr(Tiger enclosure,Infra-structure,Crocodile & Crocodile pond) Tourism Dept provides 10 cr expenditure 6.33 cr.(Gates, NIC,Cafetaria,Souvenir shop,Elephant riding point,Break point tower, Golfcart, 5 Safari bus etc)

LOCATION

The Park is located at 5th mile on Sevoke Road near Salugara , Police Station : Bhaktinagar, District : Jalpaiguri, West Bengal Pincode 734008. The Park is around 8 km from Siliguri town, 12 km from New Jalpaiguri Railway Junction and 30 km from Bagdogra Airport.

THE PROJECT FIRST PHASE INCLUDES

Herbivore Safari, Tiger Safari, Bear safari, Leopard Safari, Crocodile & Gharial area, 7 Birds & 7 Lesser cats enclosure, Cafetaria, Souvenir Shop, Nature interpretation Centre,Entrance Gates, Parking area, Ticket counter, Office, Veterinary Hospital,Kitchen cum Store,  Power station, Staff quarters, 10 Safari Bus, 2 Golf carts
